Poultry Australia recommends the Starter Package if you're hatching eggs for the first time and you'd like the incubating and brooding equipment sorted in one order.

The Janoel Model 12 is our smallest incubator, so this package suits backyard flocks, a family project, or anyone who wants a manageable number of chicks to look after. Twelve chicken chicks is a comfortable first brood.

If there's a chance you'll want to hatch more than 12 chicken eggs at a time, the Family Package with the Janoel Model 24 is the better choice. It's our most popular package and only $64.00 more.

When your Starter Package arrives

Everything arrives together in one delivery, and the Janoel Model 12 comes fully assembled.

All of the incubator's features work automatically as soon as it's switched on, so there's nothing to set up or program before you begin. The brooder heat plate only needs its four legs screwed in, which takes a minute and no tools.

Your incubator comes with clear instructions covering the full incubation process, plus a set of tips written by Poultry Australia on selecting, storing and preparing eggs and what to do once the chicks hatch.
