Can I incubate fewer eggs than the maximum?

Yes, all of them. The turning tray dividers adjust to suit any egg size. As a guide, the Model 12 handles up to 12 large chicken eggs, 12 guinea fowl eggs, nine duck eggs, nine turkey eggs, 24 quail eggs, or up to six goose eggs. If you'll be hatching goose eggs regularly, step up to the Model 24 or larger — goslings need more room once they're out.

Can I incubate different species at the same time?

Yes, with a little planning. Set the eggs at intervals so every species hatches on the same day, since turning stops and humidity rises three days before the hatch. Chicken eggs take 21 days and Japanese quail take 17, so you'd set the chicken eggs first and add the quail eggs four days later.

Is a Janoel suitable for a school?

Yes, and they're popular in classrooms. The Model 24 is usually the best fit — its large wraparound window means a whole group can watch the hatch at once. We're a registered NSW Department of Education supplier and can handle quotes and purchase orders.

Should I buy an egg candler with my incubator?
